THE COLLABORATION ADVANTAGE
The 21st Century competitive advantage is collaboration, not competition. How businesses can tap into social forms of collaboration and move beyond teamocracy
Leandro Herrero

When people are asked about "collaboration" in organisations, the word "team" comes to mind. The team as a model has hijacked other forms of collaboration. The vast literature about teams, in which all sorts of better, more sophisticated or effective teams are labelled, shows just that. Leandro Herrero explores the non-team collaborative world, not only in business organisations but also in day-to-day social and political life. The learning from how people collaborate spontaneously or by design across the world is important enough to be translated into the organisational business life. Our organisations today are largely teamocracies, but there is a wealth of other forms of collaboration that management can tap into to create success.
